Our side and rear insect screens are designed to fit perfectly in the following Volkswagen (VW) models: Transporter – T5-T6-T6-1, Caravelle, Multivan, Ocean, Coast, Beach to prevent insects from entering the vehicle.

These mosquito screens are composed of a multifunctional frame of super-resistant and tear-resistant 600D Oxford nylon fabric that is installed in the vehicle (between the chassis and draft strip) and serves as a support for four different elements: mosquito net, privacy screen, awning and thermal insulation.

These elements can be installed on the frame independently, all at once, or combined and removed for off-season storage to prevent wear and tear.

FLYSCREEN - MOSQUITO NET: We replaced the uncomfortable zipper system with the AUTOMATIC MAGNETIC CLOSURE, making getting in and out much smoother. This way you can even walk through the mosquito screen with your hands full without having to worry about opening or closing it.

This system also allows pets to get in and out without having to worry about opening and closing zippers.

PRIVACY SCREEN - AWNING: An opaque nylon curtain, which can be fully rolled up, creates an absolutely private indoor climate. This same screen/curtain can, in combination with our separately ordered Awning Pack, be used as an awning to protect against sun and rain.

ASSEMBLY

The assembly of the new VANPAKKER © multifunctional system will take a little longer than the installation of a removable insect screen. But you only have to do it once and you get up to 4 different products/applications.

The frame is held in place by the weatherstripping, so you'll need to remove it, put the nylon frame in place and put the weatherstripping back in its original position. This insect screen is suitable for different models of vehicles, so the nylon frame is larger than the opening of your van. Once the insect screen structure is in place, all you need to do is trim the excess fabric with scissors or a utility knife. On vehicles with double rear doors, you will also need to make a small notch in the top part of the nylon frame to match the door hook.

We recommend that you do not remove the draft strip completely, but do it in sections, starting at the top center and continuing alternately left and right in small pieces of about 30 or 40 cm.

After installation, check whether the opening and closing of the insect screen works perfectly. If the screen is too tight, it will not close properly, so adjust the tension of the mosquito net from the sides until it closes automatically.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES

This mosquito screen is made of 40-42 gr/m2 polyester fabric, very light and resistant, allowing perfect ventilation of the interior of your van. It is waterproof, easy to wash and does not wrinkle.

Both the vertical opening and the mosquito screen base have powerful 5 cm long magnetic bars, which allow the mosquito net to be folded and stored in a small bag.
